We have been notified of a COVID-19 positive case in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

We will be immediately closing the Whakatāne campus to both kaimahi and tauira, and ask all staff and students who would normally attend campus, or have recently been to campus, to stay home until at least Monday. By that stage we hope to have further information to share with you.

We encourage you to please get tested if you have any symptoms, and please isolate at home until you have your results.

COVID-19 testing will be available in the following locations:

  • Waimana Club Rooms from 1pm until late today
  • Whakatāne War Memorial from 9am – 4pm tomorrow.
