COVID-19 UPDATE: Vaccine Policy

Planning is underway for 2022, particularly around how to manage COVID-19 in the community.

Keeping our kaimahi, tauira and manuhiri safe is our top priority, and we are exploring ways to ensure we can do this.

For this reason, we are opening consultation on a policy to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination on all three of the wānanga campuses and delivery sites, such as marae.

This proposed policy will require everyone to have proof of vaccination to be on-site, including at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi delivery sites, such as marae. It will include kaimahi, tauira, and all visitors to our sites including contractors.

We believe that such a policy is an important tool for us to consider as a way to prioritise protecting the health, safety and well-being of our community.

We will begin a consultation period in the coming days. More information about when submissions will open and close, and how you can submit your views, will be released in due course.

It is important to us to hear your thoughts and opinions on this kaupapa. Please have your say on this policy.

Ngā mihi.
