We are seeking a permanent Receptionist (1x fulltime OR 2x part-time) for our Whakatāne Campus.

 

In this role you will be the first point of contact to manaaki (greet, meet, and look after) our manuhiri (visitors), tauira (students), and kaimahi (staff) in a manner that models the values of our organisation. 

 

The role also provides operational administration support services including handling phone and reception enquiries, inwards and outwards mail and courier parcels, managing the Enquiries electronic system, and co-ordinating, arranging and monitoring purchase orders, travel and accommodation bookings, and site approvals for Academic Registry.

 

Applicants who have the following are encouraged to apply:  

·         A friendly, welcoming, and approachable nature.

·         A relevant business administration, computing, or related level two certificate qualification.

·         At least two years relevant reception or administration experience in a customer service type role.    

·         Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programmes including MS Outlook, Word, Excel to at least an intermediate level.   

·         A full clean driver’s licence.

 

You will have a knowledge of Tikanga Māori and the ability to communicate at a basic level in Te Reo Māori, or a willingness to improve Te Reo Māori skills beyond basic level.
