We are looking for a part time (0.6 FTE) Lecturer to deliver te reo rangatira and tikanga Māori papers across three years of the Bachelor of Health Sciences Māori Nursing programme. 

 

This role teaches tauira with varying skill levels and abilities and the motivation to bring everyone along on their learning journey is highly prized.   

 

The successful candidate(s) will have:

 

·         A minimum of a Masters’ Degree relevant to the field of Tikanga me Te Reo Māori or Mātauranga Māori. 

·         An adult teaching qualification.

·         Previous tertiary teaching experience relevant to Tikanga me Te Reo Māori or Mātauranga Māori.

·         Māori Interpreters License.

·         Experience in the delivery of the prescribed course and programmes, specifically in the subject areas of Tikanga me te Reo Māori 

·         Mātauranga Māori and te reo practitioner amongst the community.           

·         Networks with relevant marae, iwi, hapū and/or marae, iwi, hapū or community groups.

·         Proven research experience including evidence of Mātauranga Māori relevant research practice.

·         Te Reo Māori skills at an advanced level and an advanced knowledge and application of Tikanga Māori.
