Wai Ora Certificates: Water Resource Management & Conservation Programmes
Protecting our wai. Strengthening our whenua. Sustaining our future.
The Wai Ora certificates at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi are two programmes dedicated to understanding, protecting and sustaining one of our most vital taonga: water. Grounded in mātauranga Māori and supported by contemporary environmental science, these programmes equip learners to care for waterways, uphold kaitiakitanga, and support resilient ecosystems in their communities.
Whether you're beginning your conservation journey or looking to expand your practical skills, Wai Ora provides a meaningful pathway into environmental protection and resource management.
