The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) commitment requirements
The PhD degree normally involves a minimum of three years’ full-time research and six years’ part-time as a maximum. The minimum period of enrolment is three years.
- The PhD requires a considerable time commitment (15-30 hours per week) in addition to the wānanga/noho, particularly if studying full-time, which will be discussed with your supervisor
- There are 4x wānanga/noho marae/online wānanga plus own research and writing off-site.
