Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi are proud to be a sponsor of Ngā Manu Kōrero 2024

Ngā Whakataetae Manu Kōrero stands as the premier event on the Māori secondary school education calendar, providing a platform where rangatahi (young people) can articulate their views and challenges before their peers, whānau, kaumātua, Māori Leadership, and the wider community. It nurtures oratory skills, along with cultural expression, and celebrates the art of eloquence in both english and te reo Māori.

The National Ngā Manu Kōrero contest travels annually, bringing together finalists from 15 regions in four sections, totaling 60 secondary school speakers from around New Zealand over the two days of competition. This prestigious event draws families, teachers, supporters, national leaders, and politicians from within te ao Māori. For the first time in 59 years, Tāmaki ki te Waitematā will host this event, proudly supported by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei at Spark Arena, Auckland.

Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi are proud to be a major sponsor this year and our team will be onsite on the main atrium level. We welcome all to come and kōrero with us and find out more about study pathways with us.  Nau mai haere mai e te tī e te tā.

We wish the best of luck to all manu kōrero speaking in this year's competition. Ko te kai a te rangatira, he kōrero!
